DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera left Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox after six innings when he aggravated his sore shoulder.

"It hurts when I swing," Cabrera said after the Tigers' 9-1 win over the White Sox. "It doesn't feel right."

Tigers manager Jim Leyland said he doubted Cabrera will play Wednesday, but isn't sure on a timetable for his return.

"It's not a concern in the sense that I think it is serious, but I'm concerned because I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to play him," Leyland said. "I'm going to have to watch him closely."

Cabrera has been battling tendinitis in his left biceps and shoulder for the last week, and missed a game Friday in Kansas City.

Cabrera, who came into the game hitting .334 with 33 homers and 110 RBIs, was 0 for 2 and scored a run after being intentionally walked for the 29th time this season.
