Who's the NL MVP winner?

The National League Most Valuable Player Award was announced Monday, and the Reds' Joey Votto took home the award.

|All Votto did during the regular season was rank in the top four in the NL in eight categories -- slugging (first), OBP (first), OPS (first), batting average (second), homers (third), RBIs (third), walks (fourth) and runs (fourth).|
|Albert Pujols, 1B, STL|
|Pujols has won the award three times in the past five years, including in each of the past two years. This year, he led the league in two of the three Triple Crown categories -- homers (42) and RBIs (118) -- and finished sixth in batting average.|
|Carlos Gonzalez, LF, COL|
|All Car-Go did was hit .382 with 22 RBIs in July, .344 with 23 RBIs in August and .393 with 26 RBIs in September, to finish a year in which he batted .336 with 34 homers and 117 RBIs.|
