The Philadelphia Phillies said they will offer arbitration to free-agent outfielder Jayson Werth, but not to free-agent reliever Chad Durbin, the team told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark on Tuesday.
Werth is widely expected to be one of the major players in this year's free agent market. He hit .296 with 27 home runs and a .532 slugging percentage in 2010 for the NL East champions.
Durbin, a right-hander, was 4-1 with a 3.80 ERA in 68 2/3 innings.
