NEW YORK -- Anheuser-Busch and Major League Baseball have renewed their sponsorship deal, ending a dispute that took the longtime partners to court.
The maker of Budweiser sued the league last month, contending MLB was improperly trying to back out of an April agreement to extend the company's exclusive sponsorship agreement.
Lawyers for baseball's promotional arm filed papers in federal court in Manhattan this month challenging those claims.
The two sides announced Thursday that both were dropping litigation. Budweiser will be designated MLB's official beer sponsor.
St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch has sponsored the league for more than 30 years.
