| Jeremy Hermida has not been involved in any transactions this season. |
| Player News (last updated: June 30, 2009) |
News: Hermida has lost his starting spot in right field against left-handed pitching -- at least temporarily -- to Brett Carroll, the Miami Herald reports. Spin: "My job isn't to make the lineup," Hermida said. "My job is to go out there and play when I'm in it and try to help this team win. I talked to him a little about it. It's tough when you struggle a little bit, and then have to sit a little bit. (I want to) do what's best for the team, and I'm all for that. It's not that I'm selfish or anything." Entering Tuesday's game, Hermida has just two hits in his last 30 at-bats. He'll need to shake out of his current slump in order to save off some of the Marlins' younger options later this season. |
