Player News (last updated: December 22, 2009)
News: Vazquez and Boone Logan were traded to the Yankees from Atlanta for Melky Cabrera, Mike Dunn and right-handed pitching prospect Arodys Vizcaino, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Spin: The deal looks official at this point. Vazquez struggled in his previous stint with the Yankees, so this increases his risk for 2010. Moving to the AL will reduce his strikeouts, but he could see more wins with the Yankees lineup behind him.
