News: Giants GM Brian Sabean hinted that he would like to re-sign Penny, who filed for free agency, the Giants' official site reports. Spin: Sabean's comment came in the context of whether he'd be willing to trade pitching for hitting, and he suggested that he'd consider it if the Giants are able to sign Penny. Penny is one of the bigger risk-reward starters on the market, having struggled mightily in the AL but thrived with the Giants. |
