News: Wells underwent surgery Friday to repair damaged cartilage in his left wrist, the Associated Press reports.
Spin: Wells initially damaged the cartilage during the 2008 season, and suffered through a poor 2009 campaign in part because of lingering wrist pain. He's expected to be healthy by the time spring training begins. |
