News: Westbrook (elbow) has been removed from the 60-day DL.
Spin: The Indians are hoping that he'll be able to anchor the front of their rotation in 2010 as Westbrook will be closing out the final year of a three-year contract. Westbrook pitches to contact and does a good job keeping the ball on the ground and in the yard, but his value will be very limited if the Indians struggle during a rebuilding year in 2010 as expected. Beyond that, his health isn't guaranteed either as Westbrook is returning from June 2008 Tommy John surgery. |
