News: Lidge had successful surgery on Wednesday to repair his flexor pronator tendon and also had a loose body removed from his right elbow, the Phillies' official site reports. Spin: Lidge is expected to start throwing within eight weeks. "Brad could be one to two weeks behind in Spring Training, but, overall, we feel very good about his recovery time," general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said in a statement. "We're hopeful that he will be ready close to Opening Day." |
