News: Johnson is not expected to sign a contract extension with the Marlins, the Miami Herald reports. Spin: Johnson wants a four-year extension, but the Marlins offered only three years. "The Marlins sort of knew it was now or never," said Johnson's agent, Matt Sosnick. Johnson has two more years of salary arbitration before he will become a free agent. The Marlins likely will trade him before then if no deal is reached. |
