Sound off on the Twins

3/26/2007

Money talks ... and good players walk if they don't get it. That's the fear in Minnesota and why there's a sense of urgency to win now. This could be the beginning of the end of an era.

The Twins' window of opportunity to capture a World Series with their leadership core -- Torii Hunter, Johan Santana and Joe Nathan -- is shrinking. Hunter is only a year away from free agency, while Santana and Nathan are both just two years away. All three could be wearing new uniforms in 2009.

The M&M boys (Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau) represent the next generation, but they won't be able to get it done without some help down the road.

Is it time for a happy ending in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, or will the Twins be singing the small-market blues again? Let us know what you think.
