The NL Central is wide open, and the Brewers might have as good a shot as any team to win it. They are young, talented and hungry.

The infield can be great for a long time. Think Garvey-Lopes-Russell-Cey. First baseman Prince Fielder is coming off a 28-HR, 81-RBI rookie season. Second baseman Rickie Weeks will be a perennial All-Star soon. Shortstop J.J. Hardy, 24, is a slick fielder with some pop. Third baseman Ryan Braun remains in the minors (Tony Graffanino and Craig Counsell will platoon to open the season), but it won't be long before the five-tool talent gets to The Show.

After signing a $24M deal in the offseason, Bill Hall (35 HR, 85 RBIs in '06) will roam center field full-time.

Jeff Suppan adds depth to the rotation. If Ben Sheets stays healthy enough to make 30-plus starts, he could have a breakout year, and the Brewers will be in the race.

Does Milwaukee have all the pieces of the puzzle? Will the Brewers make the playoffs for the first time since 1982? Let us know what you think.
