Texas (12-12) at Cleveland (13-11) 8:05 pm EDT
CLEVELAND (Ticker) -
Ben Broussard may be one of the few major
leaguers who would hate to see April come to an end.
Broussard tries to continue his recent hitting surge for the
Cleveland Indians, who go for their fourth win in five games
Sunday against the
Texas Rangers.
After belting two home runs - including a grand slam - and
collecting a career-high eight RBI against Boston on Thursday,
Broussard hit his fourth homer in five games Saturday in
Cleveland's 7-5 loss to the Rangers.
Looking for his first victory in three weeks,
Jake Westbrook
(2-2, 5.42 ERA) gets the ball for the Indians. He allowed two
runs and six hits in five innings Tuesday against the Boston Red
Sox but did not get a decision.
The Rangers turn to
Vicente Padilla (2-1, 3.64), who has a 53-52
record and will face Cleveland for the first time in his
career. He did not get a decision Tuesday against the Oakland
Athletics after surrendering three runs and six hits in 5 2/3
innings.
Although
Kevin Mench fell one game shy of tying the major league
record for consecutive games with a home run (8), Brad
Wilkerson had a two-run shot in a four-run sixth inning Saturday
for Texas.
