Sosa looks for first win for the Braves

Florida (11-27) at Atlanta (20-20) 1:05 pm EDT

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Jorge Sosa hopes that the good fortunes that have come for the Atlanta Braves in this series can reach him as he goes for his first win of the season on Thursday.

Sosa (0-5, 6.52 ERA) remains winless after six starts, including a no decision against Washington, where he allowed five runs in five-plus innings. Batters are hitting .331 against the Dominican righthander, who is 2-1 in five lifetime meetings against Florida.

Chipper Jones hit a game-winning three-run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Braves posted a 6-4 triumph in the third game of this four-game set. The win gave Atlanta its third come-from-behind victory of the series.

Outfielder Jeff Francouer can push his career-high hitting streak to a stellar 16 games with an base hit here for Atlanta.

Scott Olsen (2-2, 5.16) will take the hill for Florida. Olsen was impressive in his last start, allowing three runs through six inning and striking out nine for a 4-3 victory Saturday in Pittsburgh.

In his only meeting against Atlanta the lefty surrendered two runs in one-plus innings for the Marlins out of the bullpen. Florida has dropped three straight after starting 2-1 in its 10-game road trip.
