LA Angels (24-31) at Cleveland (28-27) 8:09 pm EDT
CLEVELAND (Ticker) -
Travis Hafner has a tough act to follow
after his birthday outburst.
Hafner looks to have another strong day at the plate Sunday when
the
Cleveland Indians meet the
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in
the rubber match of a three-game weekend series.
Hafner, who turned 29 Saturday, belted his third grand slam of
the season - his 15th homer this year - and drove in six runs to
lead the Indians to a 14-2 rout of the Angels.
Looking to build upon his 5-1 mark and 1.20 ERA in the month of
May,
C.C. Sabathia (5-1, 1.71 ERA) takes the mound for
Cleveland. He allowed three runs and seven hits in six innings
of Tuesday's victory over the
Chicago White Sox.
Anaheim counters with
John Lackey (3-3, 3.36), who is winless
since April 26. He did not get a decision in his last
appearance Monday against the
Minnesota Twins after surrendering
three runs and seven hits in eight frames.
The Angels committed three errors and surrendered eight runs in
the sixth inning and four in the eighth Saturday.
