Dillon Gee completely re-cast his 2013 season after a dreadful start, but he has yet to figure out Citizens Bank Park.

The right-hander will look to pick up his first win at Philadelphia since 2010 when the recharged New York Mets visit the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday.

All-Star third baseman David Wright made an immediate impact for the Mets in his return from the disabled list, hitting a two-run homer in his first at-bat to spark the Mets to a 6-4 win Friday night. He had been sidelined since Aug. 2 with a strained right hamstring.

"Special people do special things," manager Terry Collins said. "He wanted to get back out there and wanted to finish the season on the field. That's why he's the captain."

Wright passed Mike Piazza for second in franchise history with 221 home runs and has 18 at Citizens Bank Park -- tied with Turner Field for his most at any road venue.

Winners of four of six, the Mets (69-84) are trying to overtake the Phillies (71-82) and finish above fourth in the NL East for the first time since 2008.

Gee (11-10, 3.47 ERA) opened his season in brutal fashion April 9, when he gave up a season-worst seven runs over three innings in Philadelphia. He then was reached for six runs -- five earned -- in five innings there June 22 but did not get a decision in New York's 8-7 loss.

In each game, the Phillies hit three homers off Gee.

Gee, 0-2 with a 13.26 ERA in his last five appearances at Citizens Bank Park, may fare better with first baseman Ryan Howard sidelined with an inflamed left knee. Howard had three of those home runs and six in 15 lifetime at-bats versus the right-hander.

Since his last outing at Philadelphia, Gee is 6-3 with a 2.36 ERA in 15 starts and pitched 7 1/3 scoreless innings in a 1-0 win over Miami on Sunday. He's limited opponents to a .155 average (11 for 71) with runners in scoring position in that span.

Phillies counterpart Tyler Cloyd (2-5, 5.06), vying for a spot in next year's rotation, has shown little of what made him a potential start since being recalled. Cloyd was sent down to the minor leagues on June 12 with a 2-2 record and 3.41 ERA in six starts but has gone 0-3 with a 10.93 ERA in three after returning.

"The game starts with starting pitching," manager Ryne Sandberg said. "The rotation needs to be addressed and it will be addressed."

Cloyd's struggles continued at Washington on Sunday, when the right-hander allowed five runs and a season-high 10 hits in four innings of an 11-2 loss to.

In his last two outings, Cloyd has pitched well early -- allowing one run in three innings both times -- before struggling. Opponents are hitting .261 their first at-bat against Cloyd, but .321 and .327 in their second and third appearances.

"He has to be real good with his command," Sandberg said. "And it seemed like today as the game got into the fourth it looked like balls started to be elevated a little bit and caught a lot of the plate."

Cloyd split two starts versus the Mets last year, losing his major league debut but winning the most recent outing on Sept. 20, 2012.
