MIAMI (AP) -- The Philadelphia Phillies face a very meaningful season finale.

"We want to get that 81st win to put us over the hump,'' Doug Glanville said after his two-run homer Saturday night helped the Phillies to a 9-3 victory over the Florida Marlins.

Placido Polanco and Bobby Abreu hit consecutive doubles in a five-run third inning for the Phillies (80-80), who haven't finished with back-to-back winning records since 1982-83. Philadelphia, which will not have to make up Thursday's rained-out game against Atlanta, has won 15 of its last 22 road games.

"To win more than you lose? I guess that's something if you're grabbing at straws,'' Phillies manager Larry Bowa said.

Brandon Duckworth (8-9) allowed two runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings, giving up a pair of solo homers to Mike Lowell, who has eight homers and 21 RBI in September.

"I'll take a two-homer day anytime, even with all that comes with it,'' said Lowell, who left after being hit with a pitch in the left arm during the eighth inning.

Florida's Kevin Millar doubled leading off the eighth to extend his streak of reaching base to 43 games.

Following Millar's double, Carlos Silva was ejected after hitting Lowell with a pitch. The teams had been warned by plate umpire Ted Barrett after the Marlins' Graeme Lloyd nearly hit Duckworth in the fifth.

Lloyd didn't like Bowa's criticism.

"I haven't pitched in 10 days and he wants me to have pinpoint accuracy?'' Lloyd said. "I didn't try to hit the pitcher.''

Marlins starter Justin Wayne (2-3) gave up five runs -- three earned -- and four hits in three innings. He walked two, threw a wild pitch and committed a balk.

"I'll sit on this for four or five months, but I'll have to look on the whole season, the good points and bad points,'' said Wayne, who agreed with Marlins manager Jeff Torborg that he needs to improve his command. "If I keep that changeup down, Abreu doesn't hit it over the center fielder's head -- maybe he hits it over the second baseman's head. But then it's a whole different inning.''

Glanville hit his sixth homer on the season in the sixth, a two-run drive off Oswaldo Mairena. Glanville entered in the fifth after Pat Burrell exited with a strained left shoulder. Philadelphia's third also included a run-scoring error by Lowell at third, Travis Lee's RBI single and Tomas Perez's sacrifice fly.

The Marlins will retain all but one member of the coaching staff for next season, with bench coach Rick Renick not returning. He declined the opportunity to remain in uniform for this season's final two games. ... Florida's Brian Banks left after three innings with a sprained ankle sustained on Polanco's third-inning double. ... Philadelphia has 88 errors, three fewer than the team record, set last year. ... Florida's Tim Raines, who will retire after Sunday's game, grounded out as a pinch hitter in the sixth.
