FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Josh Rabe hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the eighth, and the Minnesota Twins withstood a solo shot by Kevin Millar in a 4-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.

Millar's first home run with Baltimore, a drive to center off Ricky Barrett, tied it at 2 in the seventh. Millar went 2-for-3 to raise his batting average to .438.

"I feel great," he said. "I don't care if it's spring training, during the season or whatever, anytime you hit a home run, it's a big-league homer. Don't let anyone fool you."

Millar signed as a free agent with the Orioles during the offseason after spending three years with the Boston Red Sox.

Twins starter Kyle Lohse allowed one hit and struck out one in two scoreless innings. He hasn't given up a run in four innings this spring after going 9-13 with a 4.18 ERA last season.

The Twins took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Ruben Sierra singled and scored on a groundout by Garrett Jones.

Baltimore drew even in the fourth when Corey Patterson was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored on a single by Melvin Mora.

Terry Tiffee singled in a run in the sixth to put Minnesota ahead 2-1. Tiffee has at least one hit in five of six games, going 9-for-21 with five RBI.

Rabe, a spring training invitee, homered off Marino Salas. ^Notes:@ The victory ended the Twins' three-game skid. ... Baltimore has been outscored 23-11 during its current three-game losing streak.
