BALTIMORE (AP) -- Daniel Cabrera had just thrown a third strike past Gregg Zaun to end his second career shutout, and it was time to celebrate.

The 6-foot-7 right-hander looked up and pointed skyward -- twice. Then he wrapped his long arms around catcher Ramon Hernandez, the first of a series of hugs that Cabrera distributed to his teammates.

Cabrera pitched a five-hitter, Kevin Millar drove in five runs, and the Baltimore Orioles became the last major league team this season to win a fourth straight game, beating the Toronto Blue Jays 15-0 Saturday.

Nick Markakis homered to ignite a seven-run first inning, and Miguel Tejada and Brian Roberts also connected for the Orioles, who previously failed four times to extend a three-game winning streak.

"Hey, it's only August. It's not that big a deal," Baltimore manager Sam Perlozzo said with a wry grin.

The victory also assured the Orioles of winning a second straight series for the first time since June 23-29. Baltimore is 2-0 in the three-game series with Toronto after taking two of three against the New York Yankees.

Cabrera (6-8) struck out 10 and walked two. His lack of control led to his demotion to the minor leagues last month, but he was exceptionally sharp in beating the Blue Jays for the second time in 12 days.

"He just had it all together today," Perlozzo said. "He worked the outside corner a lot, located his fastball down and away. I'm really proud of him."

Cabrera allowed only one runner past second base in his first shutout since beating Atlanta on June 25, 2004. After his 121st and final pitch, he couldn't contain his joy.

"A shutout, that's the best thing a pitcher can do. That's a perfect game for me," he said. "Every pitcher wants to throw a shutout."

It was Cabrera's second complete game in 75 career starts.

"That just shows you what he can do on the mound," Millar said. "When he throws strikes, he's as good as anybody in this league."

It was the Blue Jays' most lopsided shutout loss since a 15-0 defeat against the Yankees on September 1977.

No one on Toronto got more than one hit, but when Blue Jays third baseman John Hattig entered in the fourth inning, he became the first player from Guam to play in the big leagues. He went 0-for-2, contributing twice to Cabrera's season-high tying strikeout total.

On Friday night, Baltimore led 6-0 after two innings. In this one, Baltimore took control by having eight straight players reach base in the first inning against Shaun Marcum (1-3).

"It was similar to what happened last night," Toronto manager John Gibbons said. "It was just too much to overcome."

After leadoff hitter Roberts grounded out, Markakis hit his eighth homer. Melvin Mora walked and scored on a double by Tejada, Jay Gibbons received an intentional walk and Jeff Conine loaded the bases with an infield hit.

Corey Patterson followed with an RBI single, Millar hit a three-run double and Ramon Hernandez singled before the final run scored on a grounder by Roberts that resulted in a rundown and a double play.

Tejada homered on an 0-2 pitch from Marcum in the fifth to make it 9-0 and prompt Gibbons to mercifully remove his starter.

"I just wasn't locating pitches in the first inning. They were hitting everything, no matter if they were hard or soft, they were finding some holes and gaps," Marcum said. "I kind of settled down after that and just tried to locate some pitches, and I think I did that from the second the fifth. But Tejada was a changeup that was down and away -- another missed location."

Roberts homered in the sixth off Dustin McGowan for a 10-0 lead. Millar's two-run double and a two-run single by Hernandez highlighted a five-run seventh.

Although the Orioles are out of contention, their performance this week against New York and Toronto shows they can still make some noise in the AL East.

"It's not how you start, it's how you finish," Millar said. "There are six weeks left. We can do some damage."
