• Summary: Grady Sizemore hit an inside-the-park home run as the Indians nipped the Orioles for their sixth straight win. Jake Westbrook got his first win as an Indian, allowing three runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
• Unsung hero: Josh Barfield went 1-for-4 and had two RBIs and scored a run for the Indians. • Figure this: The Orioles' Miguel Tejada played in his 1,103rd consecutive game, tying Hall of Fame shortstop Joe Sewell for the sixth-longest streak in history. Sewell did it for Cleveland from Sept. 13, 1922, through April 30, 1930. • Quotable: "I thought I popped it up. When I saw it hit the wall, I was pretty sure I could score." -- Grady Sizemore, on his inside-the-park home run. -- ESPN.com news services |
