• Summary: Right fielder Brad Hawpe's two-run triple launched a four-run seventh inning as the Rockies rallied over the ailing Astros.
• Turning point: There was one man gone in the seventh when Woody Williams hit Matt Holliday and Garrett Atkins singled to left to bring up Hawpe, who had flied out in three previous plate appearances. This time he responded, driving the ball to deep right to plate two runs.
• Hero: Holliday, who is 11-14 with six RBIs in his career against Williams, was 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the comeback win. • Losing effort: Lance Berkman, who had two hits and two RBIs, hit a solo home run off LaTroy Hawkins leading off the eighth. • Quotable: "Tonight, he [Brad] got as big a hit as any we had tonight." -- Colorado manager Clint Hurdle said. -- ESPN.com news services |
