• Summary: Wilson Betemit knocked in four RBIs on a three-hit night including a two-run homer against his former team, boosting the Dodgers over the Braves.
• Turning point: Matt Kemp singled home Jeff Kent for the go-ahead run in the seventh inning. • Starter fluid needed: Neither starting pitcher made it past the third. Atlanta's Kyle Davies was charged with five runs, six hits and two walks in two-plus innings while Dodgers lefty Randy Wolf gave up six runs, five hits and four walks before he was removed for a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the third. • Unsung hero: Takashi Saito, a first-time All-Star, got three outs for his 23rd save in 24 chances. • Quotable: "Saito looked to me like he's impossible to hit." -- Atlanta manager Bobby Cox -- ESPN.com news services |
