• Hero: Mariners left fielder Ibanez, who hadn't homered since June 23, went deep twice to drive in three, including the game-winning run in the seventh inning, and added a two-out RBI double in the eighth to lead Seattle's offense.

• Snuffed out: Down 5-3 in the seventh, the Orioles led off with a base hit by Brian Roberts and a Corey Patterson bunt single before a fly ball to left field and two groundouts killed hopes for a rally.

• Quotable: "We definitely did this as a team. I was glad to do what I did, but I wasn't the only one who had big hits.''

Mariners 10, Orioles 3

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Raul Ibanez and Jeff Weaver ended lengthy droughts, and the Seattle Mariners snapped an impressive streak by Baltimore Orioles reliever Jamie Walker before turning a close game into a rout.

Ibanez had two homers and four RBIs, Weaver earned his first win since June 25, and the Mariners scored eight runs over the final three innings in a 10-3 victory Tuesday night.

Ibanez had gone 31 games and 116 at-bats without a home run until he hit a solo shot in the second inning against Steve Trachsel. He connected with a man on against Walker in the seventh and doubled in a run in the eighth.

It was his seventh career multihomer game, the second this season.

"I was glad to get them, but there were a lot of big at-bats throughout the lineup," Ibanez said. "We definitely did this as a team. I was glad to do what I did, but I wasn't the only one who had big hits."

Jose Guillen went 4-for-6 with two RBIs for the Mariners, who have won seven of 10, and Ichiro Suzuki had his ninth three-hit game of the season. He's 100-for-263 (.380) lifetime against Baltimore and is batting .392 at Camden Yards.

Weaver (3-10) allowed three runs and 11 hits in six innings. The right-hander was winless in his last six starts, had lost four straight decisions and was 0-5 on the road.

"I gave up a lot of singles and they had a lot of baserunners, but I did not give up the big hit that could get them going and turn a few hits into a big inning," he said.

Seattle manager John McLaren said, "For as humid as it was, Weaver did a great job. He battled like he always does, and that was huge."

Weaver left with Seattle trailing 3-2, but the Mariners took the lead with a three-run seventh. With two outs and a runner on second, Orioles manager Dave Trembley summoned Walker, who had gone 19 straight appearances without allowing a run.

Ibanez hit Walker's third pitch over the right-field wall.

"It didn't work out. I thought it was the right move. The guy hadn't hit a home run off a left-handed pitcher all year," Trembley said. "Walker had good numbers against him. It was a baseball move and it didn't work."

Ibanez was 2-for-15 lifetime against Walker (1-2), although one of those two hits was a home run.

The Mariners followed with three straight singles, the last by Jose Lopez off Chad Bradford, to make it 5-3.

Seattle scored three more runs in the eighth and added two in the ninth.

"It started out not looking like much of an offensive game and then our offense just took off," McLaren said. "Hopefully this is something that we can build on. We swung the bats collectively; it was not just a few guys doing it alone."

Said Trembley: "It got away from us in a hurry. We had two outs in the seventh and were ahead by a run. They got some big hits, obviously."

Ramon Hernandez had three hits and two RBIs for the Orioles. Since the All-Star break, Hernandez has gone 21-for-59 to raise his batting average 35 points to .271.

Hernandez hit a two-out RBI single off Weaver to put Baltimore up 3-2 in the sixth, but the lead didn't last long.

Ibanez led off the second inning with his seventh home run, and an RBI single by Hernandez tied it in the bottom half.

Baltimore took a 2-1 lead in the third. Corey Patterson hit a leadoff double, stole third and scored on a single by Nick Markakis.

Seattle tied it in the fifth. After Trachsel retired the first two batters, Suzuki singled and Jose Vidro walked before Guillen hit an RBI single.

Trachsel allowed two runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. The right-hander is 0-3 in eight starts since June 8.
