• Summary: Carlos Guillen hit a walk-off, three-run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning, leading the Tigers to a big 9-6 win over the Yankees in a game that lasted four hours and 24 minutes.
• Tiger tater: Guillen belted a pitch from reliever Sean Henn into the left field grandstand with two outs in the 11th for his 18th home run of the season, ending the marathon game and sending the few lingering Tiger fans into hysterics. • Hit machine: AL batting leader Magglio Ordonez set a career high with four hits, including his 25th homer and a double. • Goat: Henn (2-2) was charged with the loss for the Yankees, who fell three games behind the Mariners in the race for the AL wild-card. • Quotable: "First time I hit one at 3:30 in the morning. Long day for us" -- Guillen -- ESPN.com news services |

Granderson is the seventh player since 1947 to hit at least 20 triples.
