• Summary: Troy Glaus' RBI double jump-started Toronto's four-run rally in the 12th inning as the Blue Jays topped the Athletics 6-2.
• Unsung heroes: Aaron Hill, Gregg Zaun and Reed Johnson all added insurance runs for Toronto. • Turning point: Blue Jays closer Jeremy Accardo walked two straight with just one away in the 11th but was able to work his way out of the jam by getting Nick Swisher to pop out to short and Mike Piazza to fly out to left. • All for naught: A.J. Burnett allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings but had to settle for the no-decision. -- ESPN.com news services |
