ATLANTA (AP) -- As much as the Atlanta Braves have struggled recently, Mark Teixeira couldn't imagine the toll of losing a 17-inning marathon.
"We had to have this game," the first baseman said, "especially going on a long road trip."Hit And Miss
In the past 15 seasons there have only been four instances of a team striking out 17 times and collecting 17 hits in the same game. Three of those instances have been the Braves, in each of the past three seasons.
