CINCINNATI (ESPN.com news services) -- In what's becoming an annual occurrence, the Milwaukee Brewers are losing games -- and their composure -- in early August.
Bronson Arroyo lasted six innings on a muggy night and hit a bases-loaded double on Monday night, sending the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-3 victory that left the Brewers with a next-to-nothing lead in the NL wild-card race.Fast Facts
• The Brewers have now lost seven of their last nine games since they were tied with the Cubs for first place in the NL Central on July 26.
• Milwaukee slugger Ryan Braun hit his 30th homer of the season, becoming just the second player in MLB history to hit 30-plus bombs in each of his first two seasons. Albert Pujols is the other.
• The Reds improved to 33-29 against opponents with records above .500. They are only 19-32 vs. teams with marks below .500.
