BOSTON (AP) -- Terry Francona watched Boston's 10-run lead disappear and was searching for a new strategy as the numbers on the scoreboard started to resemble a football game.
"At some point," the Red Sox manager said, "you're thinking about going for a field goal."That's the type of night it was -- it was hard for anyone to keep track of anything.Fast Facts
• Boston and Texas tied an AL record with 36 combined runs.
• David Ortiz became the fifth player to hit two homers in the first inning and tied the AL record for most RBIs in one inning with six.
• Rangers pitcher Scott Feldman gave up 10 runs in the first and still stayed in the game. He joins Mark Redman as the only pitchers since 1900 to do that. Redman did it for the Rockies on April 26.
• Rangers outfield Marlon Byrd had his first career five-hit game. He has nine hits in the last two games. The last Ranger to do that was Alex Rodriguez in 2003.

Still Not Enough
