BOSTON -- Dustin Pedroia had four hits, three runs, two stolen bases and one walk. Ho hum.
It was just another multi-hit game for last year's AL rookie of the year, his league-leading 52nd of the season. Going 4-for-4, he raised his batting average to .388 in the last 15 games and .322 for the season. And he set a Red Sox single-season record for second basemen with 104 runs.Fast Facts
• Daisuke Matsuzaka joins Roger Clemens (1986) and Pedro Martinez (2002) in becoming the third Red Sox pitcher in the divisional era to win 16 of his first 18 decisions in a season.
• The last time the Red Sox shut out the White Sox on two hits or fewer was in 1993, when Danny Darwin threw a one-hit shutout.
• Chicago has been shut out 10 times this year, one shy of the AL lead (held by Kansas City and Detroit).
