Dodgers get production from Kuroda, top three hitters to complete sweep of Cubs
LOS ANGELES -- It's a century and counting for the Chicago Cubs.
Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers shoved Chicago into another long winter Saturday night, completing a three-game sweep of their first-round playoff series with a 3-1 victory.Fast Facts
• The Dodgers won their first playoff series since winning the 1988 World Series. It's their first series sweep of any kind since the 1963 World Series when they beat the Yankees in four straight.
• Alfonso Soriano finished the series 1-for-14 and is hitting .036 (2-for-28) in the postseason since joining the Cubs. For his career, he's batted .212 in the postseason.
• The top third of the order (Furcal, Martin, Ramirez) did the damage again for the Dodgers, going 4-for-9 with all three runs and three walks. For the series, they hit .371 with 11 runs and 10 RBIs.
