CHICAGO -- As the weather heats up in Chicago, Jermaine Dye and his teammates start to see a rise in their batting averages.
Coming off a 1-6 road trip and scoring an AL-low 3.9 runs per game this season, the White Sox were greeted at U.S. Cellular Field by 80-degree temperatures, clear skies and friendly breezes.Fast Facts
• John Danks (5 2/3 innings pitched, two earned runs) won for the first time in his last five starts. It was just the second win in their last seven games for the White Sox.
• Francisco Liriano (four innings pitched, seven earned runs) fell to 0-3 in his career vs. the White Sox. The Twins have lost six straight overall and nine straight road games; they are 4-14 on the road this season.
• Jermaine Dye led the charge for the White Sox, going 1-for-4 with his 10th home run and four RBIs; the four RBIs was a season-high for Dye.

The right-handed Dye, who usually excels against lefties, was batting only .133 vs. them this season until he took Liriano deep. ... Twins LHP Glen Perkins, on the DL since Monday, underwent an MRI that showed inflammation of the ulnar nerve in his pitching elbow. ...
