A's rough up Haren but D-backs rally to tie, then win with 3-run 11th
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Jason Giambi couldn't thoroughly appreciate his latest accomplishment, not with the way his Oakland Athletics are playing these days.
Fast Facts
• Stephen Drew went 3-for-4 with the go-ahead RBI single. It was his first three-hit game of season. He had been 1-for-23 in his previous six games.
• The Diamondbacks won their season-high fourth straight and evened their record at 7-7 since A.J. Hinch took over as manager.
• The A's hit four home runs (three of them solo) off former Oakland pitcher Dan Haren, but have the fewest home runs in the AL (29). The A's hadn't hit more than two home runs in a game this season. Their last four-home run game was Aug. 15, 2008.
• Jason Giambi became the 44th player to reach 400 homers. Two hundred of his homers came at home, the other 200 on the road.

Game notes
Arizona ace Brandon Webb, on the DL with tightness in his pitching shoulder, played catch and will continue to be pushed in his throwing program. "He will start to increase the volume and distance the next homestand," Hinch said. "Each day, he's getting a little bit stronger." ... The D-backs were 1-5 on the road in interleague last year.
