ATLANTA -- The New York Yankees must have been wondering if they'd ever get a hit, much less score a run.
Then Joe Girardi got tossed, Francisco Cervelli hit an unlikely home run and Alex Rodriguez finally came through.Sparked by their manager's ejection, the Yankees broke out offensively to beat the Atlanta Braves 8-4 Wednesday night, snapping a three-game losing streak. Why Joba Chamberlain Won:
• The Yankees' starter threw strikes 71 percent of the time, his best mark on the season (59 percent coming into the game, below the 62 percent MLB average).
• Chamberlain worked inside, getting hitters to go 0-for-6 with four strikeouts on pitches inside. All five strikeouts came on pitches outside the zone.
• Braves hitters chased 44 percent of Chamberlain's pitches outside of the zone, much higher than his season average of 21 percent.
