W: C. Buchholz (2-3)
L: R. Halladay (13-6)
TORONTO -- Even Toronto ace Roy Halladay couldn't stop Boston's home run barrage.
Jason Bay hit a two-run homer, David Ortiz and Victor Martinez added solo shots and the Red Sox beat Halladay and the Blue Jays 6-1 on Wednesday night.Fast Facts
• Clay Buchholz moved to 2-0 vs. Toronto this season (0-3 vs. the rest), allowing one run in six innings.
• David Ortiz gave Boston the lead for good with his 250th home run as a Red Sox player, his sixth career HR vs. Roy Halladay. That's the most home runs he's hit against any pitcher, and the most Halladay has allowed to any one batter.
• Halladay's five-inning start was his second-shortest of the season (three innings in an injury-shortened start in June).
