Roy Halladay sets tone with 18 straight strikes as Phils win club-best 18th of April
PHILADELPHIA -- Roy Halladay didn't think he was sharp warming up before the game. Boy was he wrong.
Halladay pitched a seven-hitter to help Philadelphia set a club record with its 18th victory in April as the Phillies beat the New York Mets 2-1 on Saturday. He threw his first 18 pitches for strikes becoming the first pitcher since 1991 to accomplish that feat. Sid Fernandez was the last to do so.More From ESPNNewYork.com
Phillies ace Roy Hallday toyed with the Mets, throwing strike after strike to outduel Jonathon Niese, writes Mike Mazzeo. Story

Facing the Mets only during interleague play while with the Blue Jays brought forth mixed results for Roy Halladay. He's more than made up for that since joining the Phillies. He's won six consecutive starts against the Mets since coming over to Philadelphia with a pair of complete games.
