Nats stay hot, top White Sox in 14 in first game since Jim Riggleman's resignation
CHICAGO -- A day after their manager's stunning resignation, the Washington Nationals lost their interim skipper, too.
John McLaren, filling in temporarily after Jim Riggleman quit, was ejected in the eighth inning of Friday night's 9-5 win over the Chicago White Sox in 14 innings.The Washington Nationals will name Davey Johnson as their new manager, a source familiar with the situation told ESPNChicago.com. Johnson, 68, will manage the team for the rest of the season and next season, subject to league approval. Johnson's first game as manager will be Sunday, a source said.Friday, the Nationals moved on without McLaren, just as they did without Riggleman.More From ESPNChicago.com
