The O's drafted the right-handed hitting Hoes in the 3rd round in 2008, then sent him to the Astros in the 2013 deal that brought Bud Norris to Baltimore. In 777 minor league games, Hoes has a .752 OPS., compared to just .617 in 112 big league games.
