Royals-White Sox brawl causes DL trip

Chicago RP Matt Albers was placed on the 15-day DL today for an injury suffered during the team's scuffle with Kansas City on Thursday. Albers suffered a compression fracture in a finger on his throwing hand.

Verlander travelling with the Tigers

Detroit manager Brad Ausmus said today that Justin Verlander (15-day DL, triceps strain) would accompany the team on their 10-game road trip beginning Monday in Minnesota. "He'll go because he may be able to throw at some point on the trip," Ausmus said. There's still no timetable for his return, though.
