A new superstar in the Curry household

Has Stephen Curry's daughter's fame surpassed his own? "In the Bay Area, for sure," Curry said. "When we go out now, they're all asking where she's at. ... We went to Toys 'R' Us the other day, and little girls asking their dad can they talk to Riley because they saw her on TV."

LeBron and Kyrie's lefts are not all right

Cavs stars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, who are both natural righties, tried shooting left-handed 3-pointers in practice, and the best thing we can say is that one of them managed to draw backboard. The side of it, anyway.

Irving's health a question of timing

Relative to seasons past, 2014-15 was the healthiest Cavs PG Kyrie Irving has ever been. But he continues to battle knee and foot maladies as Game 1 of the NBA Finals nears (Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC).

Andrei Kirilenko has reportedly retired from basketball. Rival owners upset when he signed with #Nets, but never worked out way they'd hoped

Hoiberg's college legacy untarnished

Fred Hoiberg rebuilt Iowa State, his alma mater, achieving plenty in a short stretch. Now it seems time for a new challenge with the Chicago Bulls. But "The Mayor" should leave Ames with a new nickname among Cyclones fans, Myron Medcalf writes: 'The Prince'

Road to the Finals: New year, new hope

Cleveland got off to a rough start this season. After the New Year, though, the Cavaliers shook up the roster. And with a healthy LeBron James leading the way, the team started to click at just the right time.

Bulls expected to hire Hoiberg Tuesday

Chicago is making a "major announcement" at 3 p.m. ET, the expectation being that the team will reveal the hiring of Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg. Hoiberg informed his ISU staff and players of his decision Monday before boarding a plane for Chicago, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Bulls players are gonna love Hoiberg because he is consummate "players coach." My guess is overall team physical/mental health will improve.

Hoiberg, Thibodeau not similar coaches

ESPN's Bradford Doolittle: "[Fred] Hoiberg is so polar opposite in personality from [Tom] Thibodeau that the buzzword you keep encountering is 'anti-Thibs.' One NBA executive I spoke to raved about Hoiberg, calling him a 'great guy with absolutely no ego.'" Strategy different too (Insider)

Myron Medcalf @MedcalfByESPN

Hoiberg won't have any trouble with NBA personalities. Coached Royce White, Deandre Kane, Chris Allen, Bryce Dejean-Jones and made it work.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

Spoke to and texted with some NBA guys today on who likely to be next in the college-to-NBA-route. Answer: Bill Self or Kevin Ollie.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

Bulls make the Hoiberg hiring official -- and college hoops has now lost Brad Stevens, Billy Donovan and Hoiberg to NBA in last two years.

Getting ready to say goodbye to Hoiberg

Fred Hoiberg has informed several Iowa State players and staff members that he is leaving, a source told ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman. Hoiberg, 42, spent four of his 10 seasons in the NBA playing for the Bulls. Deal 'all but complete'

Cavs' other turnaround: Praise for Blatt

A comeback from a 19-20 start to the season isn't the only about-face the Cavs have pulled this year. Where LeBron James had previously displayed lukewarm sentiments at best, there was now nothing but effusive support for coach David Blatt. Irving positive, too

LeBron not eager to talk D-Wade

Rumors abound about the possibility of Dwyane Wade opting out in Miami, but LeBron James isn't biting. "He said that [he was opting out]?" James questioned a reporter today. No, but there are reports. "Did [Wade] say that?" Well, no. "If Dwyane Wade didn't say, 'I'm opting out,' then I'm not commenting on that."

LeBron: I'm better than ever

Don't pay attention to the postseason career low 42.8% shooting. LeBron James says he's just fine: "If you put everything together as far as my mind, my body, my game. ... This is probably the best I've been."
