LAS VEGAS -- Crooner Wayne Newton will belt out "Viva Las
Vegas" and a contemporary version of "Danke Schoen" as players
are introduced at the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18, the league
"Mr. Las Vegas" will perform for about seven minutes before
the game while Grammy winners Christina Aguilera and Toni Braxton
will headline the halftime entertainment. The game is to be
broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET Sunday.
Mary J. Blige will also perform during a Saturday night event
for the league's social initiative, NBA Cares.
