2011 NBA All-Star Game Scorecard: East All-Stars

A gentleman's C for the championship sharpshooter who has made a lifetime of big shots, but lacks the bravado to snatch attempts away from others in an All-Star Game. Allen air-balled his first attempt of the night, but threw down a nice jam on a breakaway.

Ironically, Bosh looked his very best during a stretch in the first quarter when he was surrounded by four Celtics. He followed an Allen miss with one of his fiercest dunks of the season and tallied 14 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes.

To no one's surprise, Doc Rivers played his 34-year-old sparingly, as Garnett was the only member of either team to log single-digit minutes. During his eight minutes, KG collected five boards, blocked a shot and refrained from yelling at any person or inanimate object.

This wasn't the place to show off a refined set of high-post skills, and Horford didn't make much of an impression in 10 minutes. He couldn't find the handle on a slick Rondo pass, and converted his only field goal of the game on a putback.

It's difficult to play the imposing big man in an exhibition game, and Howard didn't leave much of an imprint on the game in 20 minutes. His pair of goofy 3-point attempts provided a giggle or two, but he was otherwise irrelevant in this track meet.

LeBron launched a personal mission to derail Kobe's MVP coronation and notched a triple-double (29 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists). When the game seemed out of reach for the East in the second half, he drove the ball down the West's throat -- a freight train no All-Star wants to stand in front of.

No member of the East made, missed or attempted more shots from beyond the arc than Johnson. It looked as if he might be a factor when he drained back-to-back 3s during a 23-second stretch of the second quarter, but he never regained his stroke.

It was clear Rivers wasn't going to allow his veterans to play heavy minutes, particularly Pierce, who has been nursing various ailments. Pierce had a spell toward the end of the third when he picked up buckets on consecutive possessions, but that was it in 11 minutes.

Rondo chalked up only six points during his 19 minutes of playing time and he looked awful when he rimmed a layup in the fourth quarter, but his showmanship while distributing the ball was appreciated.

Judging from Rose's comments this week, there was a sense he might defer to his more veteran teammates -- and that's precisely what happened early on. Rose became more assertive after intermission, but finished with only 11 points on 13 shots.

In the first half, he was the beneficiary of a mismatch against a disinterested Carmleo Anthony, then was a key contributor in the East's rally. His huge 3-pointer inside of two minutes was the showcase of a 15-point fourth quarter.

Wade left the game midway through the third quarter after landing on guard Deron Williams' foot. It's the same ankle he injured against the Celtics a week ago. Imagine the hysterics if Wade misses meaningful basketball due a twisted ankle sustained in an All-Star Game.
