Celtics guard Allen charged with aggravated battery

CHICAGO -- Boston Celtics guard Tony Allen has been charged with aggravated battery stemming from a fight that escalated into a shooting outside a West Loop diner two months ago.
Allen was released on a $150,000 bond. He will only be allowed to travel for work purposes and was ordered back to court for a preliminary hearing Oct. 26, said Tom Stanton, a spokesman for the state's attorney's office.
