MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves said Sunday that they have released forward Paul Shirley and guard Tyrone Ellis from the team's training camp roster, cutting the roster to 15 players.
Shirley, 6-10, played in two preseason games for a total of eight minutes. The three-year NBA veteran signed with the Wolves on Oct. 2. The ESPN.com contributor averaged 7.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and just under 24 minutes in five games with the Wolves' Las Vegas Summer League team.
