Hornets' Jackson out with strained hamstring
OKLAHOMA CITY -- New Orleans Hornets backup center Marc Jackson will miss the start of the regular season because of a strained left hamstring.
Jackson is out indefinitely and it's too soon to say when he might return, Hornets spokesman Scott Hall said. The Hornets open the regular season Wednesday at Boston.
Jackson, a six-year veteran, is expected to back up Tyson Chandler, but he missed all seven of the Hornets' preseason games because of an injury to his right hamstring.
