MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves finalized their buyout of Troy Hudson's contract on Friday.
The Timberwolves requested waivers on the point guard, a 10-year veteran whose career has been disrupted by ankle injuries. Hudson's agent, Bill Neff, said earlier in the week the team will pay Hudson just under $6 million this season and just over $6.3 million next season. That's about 80 percent of what Hudson was still owed from the contract he signed in August 2004.
