Nets' Carter sprains ankle attempting dunk against Celtics
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Eight-time All Star guard Vince Carter sprained his right ankle late in the third quarter and was forced to leave the New Jersey Nets' game against the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
X-rays taken Saturday night at the Meadowlands came back negative, but Carter's status for Monday's game against the Hornets remains uncertain. He'll likely have an MRI on Sunday.
