Cal sophomore Anderson will try NBA draft

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Cal sophomore forward Ryan Anderson, a first-team All-Pac-10 selection who led the league in scoring, announced Thursday he has made himself eligible for the 2008 NBA draft. He will not sign with an agent, leaving him the option of returning to Cal for his junior season.

Anderson, who averaged 21.1 points and 9.9 rebounds, set a school record for most points by a sophomore with 697. He also became the first Cal player to have 600 points and 300 rebounds (328) in a season. ...
