Nash surpasses 8,000 assists vs. Jazz

Steve Nash became the eighth player in NBA history to surpass 8,000 assists in the Suns' 124-115 loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

The Suns guard notched his 8,000th helper at the 10:11 mark of first quarter on a Jason Richardson 3-pointer.

Nash joined Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Mark Jackson, Jason Kidd, and John Stockton as the only players to accomplish the feat.

Kidd is the active leader with 10,594.
