Clark assigned to D-League

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns have assigned first-round draft pick Earl Clark to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League.

The 6-foot-10 Clark was the 14th overall pick in the draft out of Louisville but has not been part of Phoenix's regular rotation. He has appeared in 45 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per contest.

He scored a career-best 14 points on Nov. 27 against Minnesota.
